Library Rules
In order to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for reading, learning and other Library activities, Central Library, PDUAM, Amjonga require all library users to comply with the following General Rules and Regulations.
- Strict silence and discipline must be maintained inside the library.
- Use of Mobile Phone is strictly prohibited inside the Library premises.
- It is mandatory to sign in the Gate register while entering the library.
- Students are not allowed to sit inside the reading room except dealing with books.
- Students are advised to keep their belongings in the property counter whenever they want to enter the stack area.
- All the members of the staff and students of the college are eligible to be the member of the library. Books and other library materials are open for use and subscription only to the members of the library.
- Library Membership Card is compulsory for getting access to the library services.
- Loss of the library cards must be reported immediately to the librarian. Duplicate cards will be issued only after formal application and verification. A fine of Rs. 50/- will be levied for each card lost. The member will be held responsible for the lost cards originally issued to him/her.
- The borrowers should examine the book issued to them and any damage or marking, if any, should be reported to the staff before leaving the counter.
- Library Membership Cards are valid for the course duration only. At the end of the course period the Borrower shall have to return the Membership Card in the Library Office.
- Students have to pay the market value of the latest edition of a book in case they lost or damage a book.
- Newspapers are allowed to read only on paper stand. They are not allowed to bring to the reading tables.
- Late fine of Rs. 1 per day will be imposed upon if books are not returned to the library on due time.
- Keep checking the Library Notice Board regularly for any updates and changes made time to time.
- Every Member of the Central Library, PDUAM, Amjonga should follow and obey the Library Rules & Regulations strictly.
- A WhatsApp Group has been formed. Your library related queries will be tried to solve through this group. A humble request to all the Group members not to send any unnecessary, irrelevant, irritating messages of any form in that group. Your cooperation is highly solicited in this regard. Any other information will be communicated time to time through this group and Library Notice Board.
