  • All the H.S. 1st Year students are hereby informed to submit Library Membership details by visiting the Central Library to avail the library membership service.

  • Due to many request for Library Membership Card, the central library is organizing another orientation programme. If you missed the earlier orientation, submit an application to the librarian with a valid reason for your absence by August 30th, 2025.

  • This is to inform all the newly admitted students of B.A./B.Sc. 1st Semester that the library membership card will be distributed from 21st August, 2025. Therefore all are requested to collect the membership card from the Central Library.

  • It is hereby informed to the newly admitted students of PDUAM, Amjonga that a Library Orientation Programme will be held from 11th to 18h August, 2025. It is mandatory to attend the Library Orientation Programme for all the students to avail the library membership as well as library services.

  • It is hereby directed to all the students of PDUAM, Amjonga to return the library books issued against your membership ID on or before 28th December, 2024 without Fail.

  • It is hereby informed to all the newly admitted students of H.S. 1st Year that the library membership card will be distributed from 6th September, 2024. Therefore all are requested to collect the membership card from the Central Library.

  • It is hereby informed to all the newly admitted students of B.A./B.Sc. that the library membership card will be distributed from 21st August, 2024. Therefore all are requested to collect the membership card from the Central Library. ** In the 1st phase, the Membership Card will be provided to those students who attended the library orientation programme on 10th August, 2024.

  • It is hereby requested to all the HODs of different department to submit the recommended book list of your respective subject for the central library on or before 8th April, 2024. You can submit the hard copy or can mail us at libpduam@gmail.com.

  • It is hereby directed to all the students of PDUAM, Amjonga to return the library books issued against your membership ID on or before 28th December, 2023 without Fail.

  • It is hereby notified to all the library users that as per library rules, Central Library, PDUAM, Amjonga will charge a fine of Rs. 1.00 per day for each book kept beyond the due date with effect from 1st April, 2023.

About Central Library

A library of an educational institution serves as its beating heart, and the Central Library of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Adarsha Mahavidyalaya (PDUAM), Amjonga, is also no exception. It is the hub of all academic activities supporting the institutional goal of achieving excellence in education and research. The college library currently houses a collection of more than 3000 printed books which includes both references and textbooks. Apart from the books the library also has a collection of newspapers, magazines, journals, CDs, previous years question papers etc. The library also has a collection of College magazines and prospectus, local collection, competitive exam corner and the Book Bank facility. 


 The library remains open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on all the working days and it provides open access for all the library users. Library conducts stock verification process in every year. Library has a reading room with 50+ seating capacity. There is a separate reading area for the faculty members. A Library Committee has been formed as per the notification no. AHE/1036/2019/4 dated Dispur the 23rd July, 2021 of the Higher Education department-Govt. of Assam for the development and smooth functioning of the college library. Currently the library is providing circulation service, reference service, question bank Facility, book bank facility, web-based information service, and Wi-Fi facility etc. to the users. The central library of PDUAM, Amjonga has a separate webpage which is attached in the official website of the college (https://library.pduamamjonga.ac.in/home). Besides having a webpage, the library also has a Facebook Page, a WhatsApp group and a YouTube Channel through which it is providing the web-based library services to the users.
